Hi All: We are still in Albuquerque. Got up and took the Motor Home next door to Camping World this morning for an oil change at 0800, and got it back at 0930. Not bad. A lot of the time was spent with the guy checking out. He's a retired Navy guy, so he was incompetent??? Kidding Tom...hee hee.
We then went downtown and found a Turquoise Museum Amy wanted to look thru. It was pretty interesting, and I learned a lot about the stone. Not sure what I will ever do with the info, and am concerned about what I had to forget to put the new info in the safe??? We'll see.
We drove down the old Route 66 to the grocery store. The campground is also on the old route 66. Not much left of it these days. I-40 took most of it over. It is warm here, but I guess we better get used to the heat like here for the next few weeks as long as we are in desert type country.
Will be leaving tomorrow morning for Arizona. Sun City I think for a couple days, then on to the Grand Canyon for a week.
The photo's are a mix of things. The Hudson is here at the campground. There are two of the actually. One pulling one of those real little campers about the size of a dog house. Another shot of Amy taking a picture of a carving of some kind in the Camping world waiting room. See her in the mirror??, A shot of the route 66 sign over the hi way. A shot of our rig parked at the campground, and a shot of the front of the office of the Campground office. It has been here for years. Long before I-40 was here. It has changed a lot since it was a gas station though.
We got a little rain last night. Just enough to ruin the car wash on the car. It looks awful now with the dust that was on it, and now the rain drops???
Well, we are back to the rig for the night. Think Amy is going to cook one of the pizza's Brenda gave us before we left Florida. Had a big breakfast at Denny's this morning, so won't be to hungry at supper time. See ya all later..
