Hi All: From Texas... We are a few miles West of Amarillo. We had planned on staying at a campground a little bit East of here, but that was still inside the city limits of Amarillo and we didn't want to be there, so we kept driving looking for camping signs along the way. Well, we saw one for this campground advertising an RV Resort for $20 a night, so we pulled off here and drove in. It is a beautiful campground. Looks pretty new, all paved, and cement pads on all sites with Cable TV, WiFi, and of course water, electric and dump. We didn't need the dump at this stop, but the biggest thing is the laundry is FREE. Amy is doing some laundry now that she was planning to do in Williams, AZ. Also the campground is a Passport America campground so we got the site for $16.50 a night. Wish we could find places like this when we plan to stay longer. They even have a dinner tonight that we plan to go try, so Amy won't have to cook. I'm sure she would do a better job, but she needs a break today. There are NO trees, so the Satellite works great again. Did hook up to the cable, and it was kinda fuzzy, so I'm back on Satellite TV. Have hooked the back TV up to the antenna so Amy can watch the local stations and her Judge shows etc... I have my FOX news going.
Not a lot to tell you all about. The wind is still as bad as it was yesterday, almost straight head on wind at 30 or 40 MPH. Had to step on the gas to go down hill. Still in the 6 MPG range. Hate that, However, the gas today was $2.23 per gallon. I swiped my card in the slot and it said to lift the handle and pump. Well I did and I pumped about $85.00 worth of gas and got my receipt and noticed it was charged to a Discover Card. I used a Master Card. We were down the road when we found it out. Hate for someone else to have to pay for my gas, but they shouldn't swipe their card and then leave I guess... Sorry Bout That...
The photo's are of Amy going to the laundry with her soap in front of our Motor Home, another of the car and the motor home with the fancy Laundry house in the back ground. A sign Amy usually tries to get when we come in to a new state. Texas this time. AND another wind mill. This is a great place for those things. They have them all over the place, and I read that there is a windmill farm near here that has hundreds of those big windmills making electricity. That's good. Don't know where the electricity goes though. Probably to some politician' s house...
We go to Albuquerque, NM, and will be there for two days. Will find something to do..on the extra day I'm sure...Amy always can find something to do. I think that this campground we are going to also has a Camping World next door to it. That's worse than a SAM's store for us...
