11 September 2009

Hi All: Another super day in Northern Arizona. We got up and Amy made French Toast and sausage for breakfast. I'm not normally great with French Toast, but it sure was good this morning. We then loaded up and went to the big Town of "Williams" We drove down the one way street one way, then down the other one way street to see what the town had to offer. Didn't take long to do either way. We parked and did the walk around the area. The photo's above are from there. They had a little western Town set up we walked around in. Checked out a couple folks in the local jail, I had a one way conversation with a couple Indians, We waved at a guy sitting on the town water tower, not sure what the little house was Amy took a picture of, and a picture of the NEW Town Square Clock. We also got a shot of a super rainbow that developed just out in the valley in front of our Motor home.....
We got another "Frog Strangler" of a rain yesterday also. We could not decide what to eat for dinner, and it was raining and didn't want to have to walk very far from a car to a restaurant, so we went to a "McDonalds". Haven't had a Big Mac in years. Not my favorite place to eat. But the choices were Taco Bell, KFC, Jack In The Box or Mc Donalds. McDonalds was closest so we took that. Got our input of Saturated Fat and Cholesterol for the week....I sure hope I don't have to buy new clothes before I get home.... Oh yea, Today we went to the "Safeway" grocery store, and it was right next to a Dairy Queen, so I added some more to my waist line there. We checked out a few restaurants on the walk and noticed the prices were for tourists. A cheap steak dinner at most places was around $30. So we got a nice T-Bone to cook here at home. Cost less than $30, and we can have a little drink here and not have to drive.
All is going super so far. Trip is a real relaxing trip, and just what we wanted. I have read more books than I thought I would read. I'm not sure I have brought enough of them to get me back home..
Well, almost time to Kill the T-Bone.

PS. Amy just got a call from her cousin Dean Harrison who has a place called "Out Of Africa" that is located in Verde Valley, where we go next. We will get with them at their attraction next Wednesday. WE tried to meet them last time we were here, but they were out of town.. Amy had never met him before...

  2. HI Jan: Wish we could have heard Jacob's band. I still remember Harry and I going out to play here and there. Didn't make much money, and they don't make much these days either. One reason I quit.. Tell Jacob to "Break A Leg". That's a good thing.
