Hi All: Another day in Pennsylvania. Had a nice visit with Pete & Edie in Mercer yesterday. Had s super dinner at a restaurant of Beer Batter Fried Cod. It was outstanding. Then Pet took us down to the area he has his fish farm. He raises trout to be released in the different rivers in PA. He had hundreds of them. The picture above is of them. Had a nice visit with them. The other photos are of Amy at a little beach area on the Slippery Rock Creek that they used to go to when she was a little kid and swim. The bridge I am taking the photo from is now closed. It is called Eckert Bridge. Tom and Fred will surely remember this area. The bridge is now closed to traffic. You can walk across it but no cars. Amy spent some time walking around remembering time gone by down there. The house above is the house she grew up in in Princeton. Looks pretty much as it did when I used to pick her up and we would go wherever as young kids ourselves. Nice memories.
We then drove around the area where she grew up and found that nothing stays the same. All the fields etc are now peoples lawn with nice big houses built on them.
Then we went to Aunt Beryl's and I tried to fix a couple things that she had that was broken. An Ice Maker in her freezer. Could not fix it. I hate it when that happens.. Also had an old Hoover upright sweeper that would not work. Could not fix that either. Hated it worse. She had two jobs for me and I could not fix any of them. She said it was OK, as she would have had to pay someone to come and tell her that the things were broken and couldn't be fixed.. Not sure the ice maker can't be repaired with the proper expertise. Think the Sweeper had a bad motor and would cost more to fix than a new one would cost.
Made it back to the Motor home and I am having a restful time now here. We go to Jan And Gary's tomorrow at 1730 for a picnic tomorrow. Her family will be in attendance. Hope we don't get rained out. It started raining this evening a little and is supposed to rain tomorrow??
Better get ready to put the old bod to bed.
