2 August 2009

Hi All: Another rainy day here, and another reunion.. Couple photos from the Harrison Reunion and lots and lots of food. As you can see I had to eat some of it. Found a cherry pie that was sure good. All home made stuff. Told Amy I WAS smiling when she took my picture. The gentleman with Amy is Uncle Bob Harrison. He was a paratrooper that went in to France and had a time there. Enjoyed talking to him and his brothers, Ed, and Don while there.
We got home about 1800 and was ready to settle down when a knock came to the door and it was Janet and Gary with a super fresh Peach Pie. We had a very nice visit with them and had some pie and ice cream with them. The left about 9 PM and we showed and hit the rack. No rain during the night thank goodness.
The temp this morning was 57 when we got up, and still NO RAIN. Even have some sunshine so far. Hope it dries up the MUD that is everywhere. Even mud comes up thru the grass when you walk in grass. Everything is soaked. WE need a few days of sunshine.
Amy is gone today (3 Aug) on a shopping trip with Aunt Beryl and Hedy. I was able to escape from that torture and stay here at the Motor Home. Amy made sure I would stay here as she took the car. I do have a list of things I an do IF it dries up a little around here. If it doesn't I have a book calling me.
Ken tells me that Sears came and checked the Tiller that quit working for him and that the repairman had to order a new transmission for it and it will be installed next Friday. Sure glad he got that machine out to use it as if he had not I might not have used it till the warranty was over. This way Sears repairs is free. Ken will give it a good work out after the fix it to make sure it is ready.....
Well, better get some breakfast. Didn't think I would ever be hungry again after yesterday, but strange, I feel I can eat again today.. WOW....
